Behavior during group activities and teacher directed times can affect the learning of others. We will model and practice the ways to help each other learn best! The following is a list of our classroom rules.
The following will be the protocol for when a problem occurs that hurts another person’s feelings or body and/or is disruptive to the activity.
Behavior Consequence Steps the Teacher Will Follow
1. Warning given.
2. Warning given.
3. Removal from activity. (The child will be given the freedom to return when ready to follow the expectations).
4. Time-Out from the activity and/or recess time. Parents will be informed of the time-out.
**If the problem persists for more than one day or is a threat to safety, a more severe consequence will be determined based on the specifics of the situation. (For example, if a child continues to physically hurt another child, the consequence may be to miss the whole recess and write an apology note.)
